Our Open Gardens Week-End this year will be on the 13th and 14th July. As usual, there will be plenty of wonderful local gardens for you to visit and to enjoy.

Once again, there will be a vintage bus will be driving around between the gardens for those who have trouble walking or just fancy a trip on bus and enjoy the company of the friendly owner Jon Howard. We don’t charge for this service but if you wish to make a donation to Jon’s preferred charity that would be great.

We are always amazed and delighted at how many of our generous residents gladly open their gardens for others to enjoy and to help raise funds for us and for the various charities supported by the gardeners. These beautiful gardens are usually hidden away behind walls and fences and they are always a delight to visit. We are so grateful to the gardeners who are always delighted to talk to our visitors and swap tips and information about their gardens.

There are so many different and diverse gardens, they are not large formal gardens, they are beautiful gardens in ordinary homes in which the owners have managed to achieve extraordinary displays. The love and attention which has been poured into these gardens, is obvious to the visitor.

This event is extremely popular, visitors come from all over the North West to enjoy the delights of these gardens.

Tickets are very reasonably priced at £5 per person and cover admission to all the gardens over the two days. Accompanied children under the age of 12 years go free.

Tickets will be available in Ainsdale from: The Chocolate Box, Graysons Bakery and Broughs Butchers
