We were contacted by the Ainsdale in Bloom Team and they advised us that they were having problems with the watering of all the plants and they wished to buy a mobile watering carrier at a cost of £600 and could we help with a donation towards this.

The members of the Executive were informed of the request and they unanimously agreed that the team were doing a wonderful job for our Village and as we have not made any major investment in their work, that we would purchase this item for them. They were duly informed of this decision and we since received a letter from them which stated:

“Please convey the thanks and appreciation of the Ainsdale in Bloom Committee for your generous and warmly welcomed donation for the purchase of a water cart. The difference this will make to ourselves and the maintenance of the Village cannot be put into words. I can report on receiving your letter the relief and gratitude both Brenda and I felt can also not be put into words and the amount of your cheque was never expected…” – Ken Porter
