May 2022: The Lights Are On In Ainsdale

After several years of planning, talking, meetings, begging, pleading, we have finally started to put the lights on in our lovely Village.

Thank you to those who have helped us develop this project, our Councillors, Sefton Council, Illumidex, Sefton Lighting Department, our Executive members, especially Trish Ashcroft who started it all those years ago and our Chairman Tony Brough.

We cannot light all the trees, those outside of private residences will not be lit so the residents are not inconvenienced during the evening, some trees are not suitable because of their age, either too old or too young.

At the Liverpool Road end of Station Road, the tres are to immature to hold the lights, we will add them in as they grow. We will look at alternatives lighting for that area at Christmas.
