Happy To Chat Benches & Natter And Chatter Tables
When walking through the Village you will see our “Happy to Chat” signs on some of the benches.
ACS has launched these Chat Benches and we are also delighted to say that every restaurant, cafe, and bar in Station Road has agreed to provide a “Chatter and Natter” table in their premises – some are displaying a window sticker.
Stopping to sit and say hello to someone at the Chat Bench or the Chatter and Natter table could make a huge difference to isolated or lonely people in our community, both young and old, and help make life a little better for them.
So please, if you see someone sitting on their own, just stop, sit and have a chat – you may be the first person they have spoken to in a while.
Please feel free to sit at one of these tables if you are on your own. Let’s make sure that Ainsdale really is a Friendly Place to Be and no one needs to be lonely.
PS. We have replaced our temporary signs with permanent ones because of the great response to them being placed in our village.
Since the launch of the bench signs on 6th February and promoting it on Facebook, within 48 hours it had been viewed over 22,000 times and the details shared 170 times. This response was phenomenal! We have received enquiries from Southport, Birkdale and many other places and Civic Voice say they want to notify all other Civic Societies. The comments we received on Facebook, almost 100, have been all been positive.
