VE Day Postponed

In light of the Corona virus and related uncertainty the difficult decision has been made to postpone the VE Day Celebration that was due to take place on the 8th May.

It was a sad decision to make after so much work has been done to organise the day but obviously, we must follow Government guidelines and the safety of our residents is paramount.

I would like to thank Martin Maynard and Sarah Love for their invaluable contribution to the planning of the event and to the Sub-Committee who were making all the arrangements. They have spent the past few months undertaking many tasks to make the day a success and they are devastated that what should have been a great Village event, will now not be happening.

I am hopeful that some of the other events we have planned for this year will be able to go ahead, but we must wait and see. We have also taken the decision to cancel the monthly meetings for the foreseeable future. We will keep you updated as to when we are able to recommence our programme.

Kind regards, Tony Brough
